Assigning Children and Staff to Classrooms

Ratio monitoring is only as accurate as the roster data you maintain. ComplyNest calculates your current ratio based on the children and staff assigned to each classroom, so keeping rosters current is essential.

Adding Children to a Classroom

1. Open the classroom from the Ratio Monitoring list.
2. Click the Children tab.
3. Click Add Child.
4. Enter the child's first name and date of birth.
5. Click Save. The child is added to the roster and the ratio updates.

Adding Staff to a Classroom

1. Open the classroom.
2. Click the Staff tab.
3. Click Add Staff.
4. Select the staff member from your team list.
5. Click Save. The staff count updates and the ratio recalculates.

Keeping Rosters Current

Update rosters whenever a child enrolls or unenrolls, or whenever a staff member is added to or removed from a room. For daily attendance-based ratio checks, use the daily ratio log instead of modifying the permanent roster.
