What to Include in a Playground Check

• Condition of all play equipment (no loose bolts, sharp edges, or broken parts)
• Surfacing under and around equipment (adequate depth and coverage)
• Perimeter fencing and gate latches
• Foreign objects or debris on the playground
• Any signage or age-appropriate zone markings
• Standing water or drainage issues

Completing a Check with Evidence

1. Open the playground or facility check task.
2. Work through the inspection items and note the condition of each.
3. Upload photos if the task requires photo evidence.
4. Mark any issues found in the notes field.
5. Click Complete Task.

Creating a Follow-Up Task

If the check reveals a hazard that needs correction (such as a broken fence latch), create a follow-up task immediately and assign it to the person responsible for repairs. This ensures the hazard is tracked until it is resolved.
