Overdue licensing tasks are one of the most common reasons an Inspection Readiness Score drops. The good news is they are easy to find and resolve. ComplyNest surfaces overdue items prominently so nothing gets buried.

Finding Overdue Tasks

  1. Check the dashboard's Licensing Status widget — overdue tasks appear in red.
  2. Go to Licensing → Tasks and use the Status filter to show Overdue only.
  3. You can also sort the task list by Due Date to see the oldest overdue tasks first.

Resolving an Overdue Task

  1. Click the task to open it.
  2. Review the description to understand what needs to be done.
  3. Complete the required action, then return to ComplyNest.
  4. Add a completion note and attach evidence if needed.
  5. Click Mark Complete.

When to Update a Due Date Instead

If a task's original due date was set incorrectly or the requirement has a different actual deadline, you can edit the due date rather than marking something complete that has not been done. Click Edit on the task and update the date field.

If an overdue task involves a corrective action required by your licensing office, notify the center owner or director immediately. Do not simply update the due date without addressing the underlying requirement.
